Cannon EOS 650D – World’s first touch panel SLR Camera with improved features

At last all you amateur photographers have got a reason to smile as Cannon have announced the all new EOS 650D digital SLR camera ( known as the Rebel T4i in North America) with touch panel to make navigation of all the menus a quick work. Having 18 megapixel CMOS sensor honed by the latest DIGIC 5 imaging processor EOS 650D has a 3 inch 3:2 ratio Vari-angle ClearView LCD II capacitive touchscreen display (with anti-smudge coating and anti-glare properties) allowing you to do swiping and pinching gestures.

ISO range with this camera is also beefed up ranging from 100 to 12800 (expandable to 25600) and Multi Shot Noise Reduction feature that allows for consecutive photo shooting (four shots) to automatically merge and align them for more detail.

There is also the Handheld Night Scene mode for shooting in night without the need of a tripod. The Scene Detection technology has also been improved in EOS 650D SLR camera wherein the users can apply effects like grainy/black & white, soft focus, toy camera, miniature, art bold, water painting and fish-eye directly to the pictures.

Eos 650D is priced at S$1,149 (US$923.19) in Singapore for the body, while the basic kit (with an EF-S18-55mm F3.5-5.6 IS II lens) will cost around S$1,299 (US$1,043.71). Kit with the new EF-S18-135mm F3.5-5.6 IS STM lens will cost S$1,699. We can expect to see the camera in Cannon stores by the end of this month so you better keep an eye on it.
