DIY Guitar2-D2 is geeky enough to produce some sweet melodies

Do you want to know what geek rock is? Then have a look at this upbeat custom guitar made by geekologie reader Doug. Made from used lbanez parts taken off the Craigslist the guitar is downright cool on looks and functionality elements too. Doug calls his creation as the Guitar2-D2 (inspired from R2D2 if you have a close look) as it has a very unique shape and color combination that portrays everything geeky.

The bain body of a guitar is cut from two pieces of poplar and the neck was ordered from a place in San Francisco. For extra protection the front and back are coated with acrylic sheet cut and beveled by hand using Dremel.

Hailing from the northern region of India, Gaurav has a profound liking for everything upbeat in the cloud and vision to acquaint readers with the latest technology news. He likes to observe nature, write thought provoking quotes, travel places, drive cars and play video games when things get too boring. And his food for thought comes from ambient music scores he listens to.
