Sporty yet fashionable 3D printed glasses by Ron Arad

We are big fans of 3D printing, simply because you can do so much and create so many different things with it. We’ve seen robots, watches, computers and just about everything created using 3D printing, but if you thought, 3D printed glasses were a rarity, here is an eye-opener. London-based designer Ron Arad has created a collection of sporty yet fashionable 3D printed sunglasses and spectacles for pq eyewear.

Each of these sunglasses and spectacles feature tinted lenses and frames made completely from nylon powder and use of selective laser sintering (SLS) technique. What also makes the 3D printed goggles from Ron Arad unique is the wide selection of colors these are available in and also that the hinges in the frames are made from scores of material instead of metal. All styles of 3D printed eyewear are named after the stations on the London Underground’s Northern line.
