FANs Cam gives audience ‘players eye view’ of sports action in real time

FANs Cam

What else can be better than watching what you favorite sports player is watching in real time, for example all Robin Van Persie fans would for an option like that. Well, two National Cheng Kung University students have designed FANs Cam for that exact craving and have won Red Dot Award (Design concept) for this feat. Sheng-hung Lee and Wai-Yeh Chan have made this camera specifically for sports where either the coaches can analyze the players performance or an average fan can get the live feed of player’s view in case they are in the stadium and unable to see the action clearly. This lightweight and waterproof miniature camera works by simply providing the feed to the user who scans the back of the ticket with QR code on it using a smartphone and then immediately gets the live feed of what the player is upto.

FANs Cam

FANs Cam can be easily put on by the player on the T-shirt collar as it has elastic clip and shell made of rubber. Moreover the aluminum used for thermal conductivity, paired with high-performance thermoelectric chip generates power from athlete’s body and room temperature.

Not only in contact sports but FANa Cam can be used in many other applications like sky diving, motorsports, free running etc. to get a whole new perspective of what the wearer is doing in real time.
