Handmade Mini Superleggera Vision has British class and Italian craftsmanship
We haven’t seen a pretty Mini since the R53 and now as a surprise reveal at Concorso D’eleganza Villa D’este 2014 BMW Group have unveiled the handmade Mini Superleggera Vision electric roadster that will you fall in love again. This open-two-seater car created in association with Mini and Touring Superleggera manages to mix the aesthetic looks of a classic British roadster and a modern Italian electric car. Call it a classic car, sports roadster or a lightweight electric speedster; Mini Superleggera Vision is one car you would definitely admire.
Mini Superleggera Vision has three-dimensional bonnet stripes reminding us of the classic speedsters of the yesteryears and iconic round headlights that are so classic in their own rights. The whole vehicle is designed to look muscular yet compact with use of combo blue paint that compliments the wheel arches.
The big wheels give this car super agility while driving at high speeds and the fin-shaped rear gives it a very classic feel. To add to the design perfectness are the rear lights that are designed to look like the Union Jack.
On the inside the roadster is draped in luxury with black chrome, aluminum and leather giving it a very royal feel and the striking feature is its dashboard made from single piece of unpainted aluminum. The bucket-shaped seats are designed very carefully and the doors too have a Union Jack like design.
There are no details on the technical specifications of the roadster and this car might never see the production lines but still there is time to rethink that decision by BMW.
