Parmigiani Bugatti Mythe watch launched at 2014 Pebble Beach Auto Show
Parmigiani, Swiss brand of luxury watchmakers has unveiled an ultra-limited edition watch at the 2014 Pebble Beach auto show events (Concours d’Elegance). Celebrating the anniversary of its ten year partnership with car maker Bugatti, the watchmaker have chosen a nostalgic design that is based on Bugatti type 370 wristwatch. Christened Parmigiani Bugatti Mythe watch, the unique timepiece comes with caliber 370 horizontal movement which allows the wearer to view time from the side.
Built on the tradition of the Bugatti Type 370, the new Parmigiani Bugatti Mythe offers an amazing view into the movement through the sapphire crystal windows when viewed from top or the sides. The watch comes with in-house made caliber PF370 manually wound horizontal movement with 10 days of power reserve and 314 parts. The case is 32.4mm wide, 52.5mm long and 18.6mm tall off the wrist and is produced in 18k rose gold with some black sections in ruthenium. Reflecting the classic look of Bugatti car grilles, the Parmigiani Bugatti Mythe watch features stripes on the dial and front of the watch just like the Type 57 iconic grille that appeared on the very first Bugatti cars. The limited edition watch comes with a whopping price tag of $430,000 and is available in the North-American market only.
