MB&F, REUGE develop MusicMachine 2 – Starship-like music box
Remember the MusicMachine? The music box from the galaxy far, far away. If it wasn’t to your taste, MB&F and REUGE have collaborated again to design a spaceship-style music box that plays rock ‘n’ roll and sci-fi melodies. Dubbed the MusicMachine 2 it features a very futuristic guise and has an innovative resonance soundboard to deliver ultimate sound.
The collection of songs in the MM2 have been selected by sci-fi and rock ‘n’ roll fan Maximillan Busser. So, it plays melodies like – theme from Star Wars, Star Trek and Empire Strikes back on one channel and on the other channel it plays rock ‘n’ roll including the Rolling Stones’ Angie, Led Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven and the Clash’s Should I Stay or Should I Go.
The MusicMachine 2 draws power from a pair of independent movements mounted on the tail of spaceship – the movement have their own individual winding keys. The MM2 has two horizontal cylinders, which play three melodies each, while an air regulator onboard (like the radar) manages the unwinding speed of each cylinder.
There is no word on the price of MusicMachine 2 yet, but we learn that it is available in limited edition. 33 white and 66 black pieces are available.
