Dell Venue 8 7000 – world’s thinnest tablet with killer next-gen camera
Tablet are steadily making the laptops disappear, but still there is a lot tablets can imbibe from the proactive features being embedded into smartphones. To make a little change in the tablet market, Dell has teamed with Intel to launch the Dell Venue 8 7000 tablet with Intel’s RealSense Snapshot Depth Camera. The tablet measuring only 6.0mm thick is perhaps the thinnest tablet in the world. Featuring killer next generation camera tech, the Dell Venue 8 7000, released at the Intel Developer Forum, has metal exterior for a rugged feel.
This thinnest tablet ever created comes with an 8.4-inch OLED touch display with incredible 2560×1600 screen resolution. Featuring a quad-core Intel Atom processor, and a really slim bezel (on sides and top), the Dell Venue 8 7000 real makes a consumer enticed with its 8MP RealSense Snapshot camera with depth perception, measurements (measuring object distance) and 3D editing . The tablet has a 2MP front camera, in case you were guessing.
Additionally the tablet features 16GB of onboard storage and comes with a microSD slot. The tablet has Wi-Fi connectivity, and is expected to get LTE soon. There is no word on the tablet’s pricing yet, but rumor suggest, it will be available for $399 in fall 2014.
