Designer launches Tinker Bell inspired clothing collection at London fashion week
London fashion week has been on the roll with designers emphasizing more on technology inspired clothing collection. British designer, Richard Nicoll have also launched his Spring/Summer 2015 collection that is designed with an idea of welcoming the future and merging it with elements of the past too. The designer has taken inspiration from famous fictional character Tinker bell and has collaborated with Disney for five of the 25 outfits for this stunning collection. However, the most eye-catching dress from his collection is a fashionable hi-tech dress that will even impress the likes of Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Fergie.
This beautiful wearable tech is developed by Nicoll in partnership with London-based fashion and technology studio XO. Made from a fiber optic fabric and activated by high intensity LED’s, the dress creates an amazing glowing effect on the runway. In a collective statement Richard Nicoll, Studio XO and Disney expressed it as a magical pixie dust effect down the catwalk. This fashion technology inspired dress managed to impress all and received a positive reception during the show. The dress is a perfect example of the merger of fashion with technology. We are hoping to see some more stunning wearable tech from the Fashion week in days to come.
