Magnat LZR 980 by Pininfarina headphones will burn a hole in your pocket
Magnat with more than 40 years of experience in development of high-end speaker systems has collaborated with Pininfarina to come up with the Magnat LZR 980 by Pininfarina over-ear headphones. Designed to look like a futuristic ear-pod, the headphones are in a class of their own as they have a very profound curvy lines that run through the entire headband. Keeping in mind the comfort level, these headphones have a formfitting shape of the ear cups which quite frankly is not seen in any other headphones that I have come across so far.
For crystal clear and immersive audio the headphones are developed with laser measurements in vacuum chamber which put-forth a very transparent and dynamic sound experience. The earcups and headband are connected by iconic metal element in such a way that they look aesthetically classy and at the same time.
Keeping in mind that these headphones will be used during any physically grueling activities, therefore the Ventilation Air-Tec technology avoids any kind of sweating and the hinges connecting the earcups and headphones fold when not in use.
The Magnat LZR 980 by Pininfarina headphones are driven by a 40mm drivers that are multi-layered between a membrane and neodymium magnets N45. They are supported by anti-resonance elements and enclosed inside a case having aperiodic damping system. These headphones have a good frequency response of 12 Hz – 28 kHz, sound pressure levels of 120 dB and harmonic distortion of less than 0.10%.
These headsets come with hands-free car kit for iPod/iPhone and iPad along with the two cables with anti-nodes. Magnat LZR 980 by Pininfarina headphones will be available from the month of October at a retail price of 299 € (USD $375) which might seem a lot but premium brands like Pininfarina come with such hefty price tags.
