LG has been making strong inroads into the wearable market with its LG G Watch in many variants that appeal the urban user. Now taking things further, company is all set to reveal the LG Watch Urbane at Mobile Congress (MWC) 2015. Specifically targeted at the high end spectrum of consumer market, this smartwatch is stylist and loaded with features to attract sophisticated and cosmopolitan wearers. The watch has a slim profile and narrow bezel infused inside a classic design giving it a very upbeat look.

LG Watch Urbane comes in gold and silver colors

The Android Wear smartwatch is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 512MB RAM and 4GB memory as storage. The 410mAh watch that has dimmed mode for showing time is also going to be dust and water-resistant (IP7). Further the 9-axis sensors, PPG heart-rate sensor, barometer and compass extend the smartwatch’s features.

Crafted to have style and substance

Just like the LG G Watch R launched in October 2014, this watch has full circular plastic OLED (P-OLED) measuring 1.3-inches having 320 x 320 resolution running at 245ppi. The body of the watch is made from stainless steel, polished in silver and gold for a very subtle design.

It remains to be seen what the pricing of this smartwatch in gold/silver color is going to be. For that we’ll have to wait till the MWC 2015 in Barcelona from 2 March.

UPDATE: LG has announced the LG Watch Urbane LTE which is good news for smartphone users as it will have NFC, LTE capability to make and answer calls as well as send text messages. The push-to-talk (PTT) function will alloy other LG Watch Urbane LTE users to use it like a walkie-talkie with multiple range and the ability to talk with multiple users at the same instance of time.
