At just two pounds and 13.1mm, new Apple MacBook is thinnest and lightest Mac ever
Apple have just unveiled their latest MacBook which is ridiculously thin and is even lighter than the MacBook Air. The notebook was announced by Apple CEO Tim Cook event along with the much anticipated Apple Watch at Spring Forward Apple Watch which took place in San Francisco on March 9. Reinvented the notebook to create an all-new notebook line, the latest MacBook 2015 is just 13.1mm and weighs only two pounds. 24% thinner than the 11in MacBook Air, it’s the thinnest and lightest Mac ever.
Touching a new level of innovation, the futuristic notebook comes with a fan-less design, ultra-thin Retina display and full-size keyboard which is 34 percent thinner. Not only that, it features a Force Touch trackpad, breakthrough terraced battery design and a versatile single USB-C port on the left which does everything from charging to sharing data.
The all-new Apple MacBook 2015 will be offered in two models. A 1.1GHz dual-core Intel Core M variant with Turbo Boost speeds of up to 2.4GHz, 8GB memory, 256GB of flash storage and Intel HD Graphics 5300 will start at £1,049($1581). The second model will come with 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Core M offering Turbo Boost speeds of up to 2.6GHz, 8GB memory, 512GB of flash and Intel HD Graphics 5300. It will set you back £1,299($1960). The Apple MacBook will be available from 10 April through Apple online store and Apple retail stores in Gold, Space Gray and Silver colors options.
