Want to find where your wife is? Better locate her using Google Find My Phone!
If you are into the habit of losing your smartphone under the couch or at the local bar every now and then, Google has a new feature to assist you in finding the gadget back. Even the option to lock and erase all the data in case you fear that someone will gain access to your private information. Google Find My Phone feature has just been rolled-in that allows you to ring your phone from PC/laptop logged-in to the same Google Chrome account as you are using on your phone. Meaning that you should be using your Android phone with the same Gmail account as the one with which you are logged into Chrome.
Google Find My Phone helps you locate lost Android phone’s location in a jiffy. Even if you don’t want to ring the phone, but just want to find the locations of the phone, the GPS location setting of your phone should be turned on and you’ll be able to see where your phone is right now. To activate the feature all you have to do is type “Find My Phone” in Google search and it will then show the location of your phone and the option to ring and lock & erase.
Although phone manufacturers make it a point to provide their built-in services to find a lost phone, this is a quick fix option for people in the habit of losing their phone and then ringing from another phone to find where it is tucked-in.
The move has been welcomed by millions of Android smartphone users who just posted some interesting and witty comments on Google Plus for this very update by Google. One comment says “Google why does it say my wife’s phone was at my best friend’s house when I was at work…” . Now that would give the geeks some good ideas about how to exploit this feature to know their wife’s location, in case they have any doubts!
