Mercedez-Benz is looking to take air travel to the next level as it has partnered with Lufthansa Technik (Engineering subsidiary of Lufthansa) to design the ultra-posh cabin for private jets. This initiative was announced at the 2015 European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE), and it looks to rival the hotel-style apartment aboard the Airbus A380.

The concept VVIP cabin for VVIP culture

The plush integrated aircraft cabin is designed for short and medium-haul executive jets, as is evident from the dynamic spiral layout which fuses the celling, wall and floor into one. This luxurious cabin has the Mercedes-Benz brand aesthetics stamped all over it with contrasting colors and lighting.

The cabin is designed in a DNA helix like structure design with the floor, wall and ceiling flowing into each other. Additionally the furniture merges into the cabin interior to give a sense of artistic design. The cabin windows are well disguised in the black-panels inspired by the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

Further the display and touchscreen for when the client needs some entertainment are meticulously integrated into the black panels. Also the Mercedes-Benz Magic Sky technology sets the mood for the interiors by automatically dimming from black to transparent.

For now the idea is still in concept stage and is looking for the green signal once the two giants evaluate its feasibility keeping in mind the VIP and VVIP culture.

According to Gorden Wagener, Vice President Design Daimler AG.

It was an inspiring challenge to transfer our design philosophy of sensual purity into the area of aeronautical engineering. The spectacular architecture of the interior shows creativity and modernity. Sensual surfaces and clear forms, combined with intelligent high-tech features and perfectly shaped modern luxury are the characteristic features of Mercedes-Benz design

Walter Heerdt, Senior Vice President VIP & Executive Jet Solutions, Lufthansa Technik AG says;

The purpose of our cooperation with Mercedes-Benz Style is to unite the two companies’ innovative expertise in the areas of design and technology. Our goal is to offer a highly discerning global clientele a standard of interior design that leaves nothing to be desired. Whether for private or business use, our modular completion concept perfectly fits every purpose
