MB&F 10th Anniversary Horological Machine: HMX inspired by race cars of 1960s
Ask me about my favorite horological machine brand, and you already know the answer is MB&F. Such is the perfectness of these futuristic watches that you can’t just take you eyes off them. And not to forget the thorough professional that Maximilian Büsser, founder and CEO of MB&F truly is. It is already a decade since the company first came to existence and to celebrate these 10 glorious years of Swiss watchmaking, Maximilian Büsser and friends present the 10th Anniversary Horological Machine: HMX.
True to its name, the horological machine does represent the brand’s grandeur that has an interesting story of hardship and dedication towards watchmaking. And to further express the art of horology, the timepiece has a motto engraved on the22-karat gold rotor “A Creative Adult is a Child who Survived”. Such is the emotion behind the making of this limited edition watch. As for the HMX, well the X represents “10” in Roman numeral.
HMX is crafted from grade 5 titanium and stainless steel material, giving it a true feel of racing car inspired watch. Adding to the uniqueness of this timepiece are to optically-engineered sapphire crystal prisms that reflect and magnify the hour and minute hand. And yes, it has a two oil caps on the valve rocker covers that need to be unscrewed during servicing to add lubricants.
MB&F HMX horological machine celebrates the brand’s 10 glorious years
MB&F HMX is the brand’s most affordable wrist watch raked-up at $30,000 which will come in four color options – Lotus Black, Ferrari Red, Bugatti Blue or British Racing Green; each made in a set of just 20 pieces. The watch is inspired by the racing cars of the 1960s, to pay homage to the design aesthetics of automobiles that ruled the roost in circuit racing.
Truly this piece of horological machine by MB&F is a marvel of watchmaking industry and we congratulate Max and his team for a successful decade and many more to come. In the meanwhile you enjoy these pictures of the HMX watch.
