Oculus Touch controller for next level gaming experience in Virtual Reality
There is no doubt that Virtual Reality is going to transform video gaming forever real soon, and Oculus Rift is going to lead the way. Oculus began with wireless Xbox One controller as input device, but to move forward and improve gaming experience in virtual reality, the Rift makers have come up with Oculus Touch – next-gen input device designed to allow gamers to interact with objects in VR most naturally.
Oculus Touch, a pair of tracked controllers, is designed to deliver sensation that your virtual hands are just your own. True sensation and feeling for a surreal experience! Owning to this near real experience, Touch will open new horizons to enhance peoples’ experience in Virtual Reality.
The Oculus Touch – a pair of controllers, one for each hand, will be unveiled to public at E3 expo. Attached with analog trigger, two buttons and a thumb-stick, the wireless Oculus Touch controller can detect hand position using an array of embedded sensors. The sensors allow the Touch to recognize hand gestures (pointing, waving and even thumbs up) to communicate in the virtual environment.
The first version of Oculus Touch will be made available to developers and gamers in the first half of 2016.
