OnePlus 2 smartphone coming your way loaded with impressive features
OnePlus One got a very positive response from consumers when it was launched last year and its next version was expected to come tagged with equally good features. Here we have OnePlus 2, the predecessor to its elder brother and it doesn’t disappoint on first look. The 5.5-inch phone has a 1920×1080 pixels display (401 PPI) and although it is not that thin at 9.85 mm, it still has hardware that overshadows that factor. And there is USB-C connector that is something new for most of the smartphone users.
OnePlus 2 is powered by a 64-bit Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor clocked at 1.8GHz. Paired with an Adreno 430 GPU and 4GB/3GB LPDDR4 RAM, the phone promises high-end gaming performance. The Android 5.1 Lollipop phone comes in 16GB and 64GB models and doesn’t have any memory card slots which again is a short-coming.
It has all the sensors like Fingerprint, Gyroscope, proximity etc. that you would expect in a smartphone of this era. The cameras are also good as the rear camera is 13 Megapixel capable of recording in 4K resolution/slow motion and the distortion-free front-facing camera is 5MP. To support this hardware configuration that requires massive battery backup, OnePlus Two comes with a 3,300 mAh LiPo battery.
The phone is made from aluminum and magnesium material which gives it strength and lightweight credentials. To add freshness to the interface, One Plus has added their own Oxygen OS on top of the stock Android software to fine tune the UI and have add-ons essential for intelligent users. As for the OS, it is not clear if the phone will have upgradation to Android M OS when it arrives later this year.
To get the phone you’ll have to go through the invite procedure which is complicated for some users. The phone coming in 5 back cover options ( Bamboo, Kevlar, Rosewood and Sandstone) is expected to arrive in US, Europe and India by mid-August for a price of $329 for 16GB model and $389 for 64GB OnePlus 2.
