Unlocked iPhone 6s and 6s plus

Apple is releasing the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s plus in Europe and some other countries beginning today; and alongside, Apple has very silently started selling unlocked versions of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s plus in the United States. The new purchase option is available on its online store. Unlocked iPhone means – you can purchase a SIM-free iPhone 6s or 6s plus that is not connected to a wireless carrier.

Unlocked iPhone 6s features A1633 model number and the 6s plus has A1634 model number. The unlocked iPhones do not come with a nano-SIM. A customer can choose a carrier of choice and pick a SIM from them.

According to Apple, by purchasing a SIM-free iPhone, customers are not liable to sign any kind of contract with a carrier nor do they need to deal with financing obligations.

This however means, a customer will have to pay the entire cost for the iPhone upfront. Unlocked iPhone 6s starts at $649, while the iPhone 6s plus starts at $749.
