Acer Aspire R 14 convertible laptop with unlimited flexibility
Along with Aspire Z3-700 all-in-one PC, Acer announced the Aspire R 14 convertible notebook at the Win 10 event in the Grand Hyatt in Taipei, Taiwan. The Aspire R 14 is an improved version of a laptop announced before by the same name. It now comes with diamond-cut edge design and has slimmer 360-degree dual torque hinge, which offers unlimited convertible flexibility to the laptop. The Aspire R 14 as you would have guessed is a 14-inch laptop that weighs just 1.9kg (4.1 pound).
Posing a serious competition to the Surface Book, in both style and features, the Aspire R 14 measures only 18.5mm thick and draws power from sixth-gen Intel core Skylake processor. Not much has been given out on the features, but the laptop/tablet will feature 8GB RAM and a choice of HDD or SSD.
According to Acer, Aspire R 14 will run Windows 10, and will feature TrueHarmony Plus audio technology with Dolby – offering immersive surround sound. It will also come with Acer BluelightShield, which promises to reduce eye-strain by minimizing blue light emission from the laptop’s display.
Acer Aspire R 14 will be available in US towards the end of this month starting at $699.
