Second generation Huawei Watch will be a women’s smartwatch
Huawei released their maiden smartwatch at Mobile World Congress 2015 and it was impressive. Now they are looking to extend their portfolio with another smartwatch, but one that is targeted towards women. Yes, Huawei is going to launch a smartwatch specifically for the ladies at the upcoming CES 2016 in Las Vegas. The watch is speculated to have 4G cellular calling option and will run on Android Wear OS. The smartwatch will function with Android as well as iOS devices.
The second generation Huawei smartwatch will have a slightly smaller screen than its predecessor. The 1.4-inch sapphire crystal display having 400×400 pixels resolution will come with a choice of 40 different watch faces. Since it is targeted towards women, therefore the watch has more contour dominated design and the band is also going to be on feminine side. It is also expected that apart from the women’s version, there is also going to the men’s version smartwatch which will be an improvement on first gen watch.
Huawei are also going down the same alley which Motorola took with their Moto 360 variant for women. If this is the case, it can be expected that a gold version of the Huawei second generation smartwatch might be on the cards. There will be improvement to the battery and more watch faces are also expected to roll-in.
One thing is for sure, Huawei is going to make major improvement to its already hot smartwatch and this is good news for people planning to buy a smartwatch after the holiday season. Apparently the watch is going to be called Huawei Watch Women Edition.
