CoWatch by iMCO: World’s first Amazon Alexa integrated smartwatch
Smartwatch market is warming up with new fresh arrivals. It’s still in infancy, but manufactures know exactly how to transform a traditional wrist watch design into a digital accessory that will complement your every smart device or system. CoWatch is another entrant in the market with such motives. It’s designed by Chinese company iMCO Technology and it runs on Chronologics OS. The CoWatch is currently selling on crowdfunding site Indiegogo with a target to secure $80,000 funding goal.
CoWatch is offering almost same offers and features as other watches currently. It can work as fitness tracker, additional assist for other smart devices, lets you customize faces etc. The only addition is Amazon’s cloud-based Alexa voice recognition. Now, you can talk to smartwatch, ask questions, or tell it “Alexa, play music” or “Alexa, turn down the heat”.
It has built-in sensors, like accelerometer, gyrometer and magnetometer, along with a heart rate sensor and vibrating motor. It can establish easy connectivity to almost every smart device/system through 4.1 bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
CoWatch has opted for round design with stainless steel silver or black design that interacts through a 400×400 pixels resolution super AMOLED display. It’s powered by dual-core 1.2 Ghz processor and features 8 GB of flash with 1 GB RAM.
As the maker claims, the watch can last for up to 32 hours of constant use. For charging, it comes with its own magnetic charging dock.
It’s pretty slim at 0.48 inches, which is better than Apple Watch’s 0.41 inches. For body, it has zirconia ceramic body with complete water and dust-resistance.
Early backers who’ll order it within a limited period would get a Cowatch in silver or black with a stainless steel band, charging station, US cable and clasp for $159 and after this period, the price would be $179.
You can catch more details about the product on Indiegogo.
