Xiaomi launches Mi Qicycle foldable electric smart bike made from carbon fiber
After flattering the world with amazingly priced smartphones and fitness bands, Xiaomi has now delivered a foldable electric smart bike called the Mi Qicycle. The foldable bike from the Chinese tech giant is made of carbon fiber and it weighs only 14.5 kilograms. Launched at an event in China, the Mi Qicycle Electric Folding Bike is priced at CNY 2,999 (approximately $460) and it will be available only in China for now. Xiaomi hasn’t given out a word on international availability of the Mi Smart Bike.
The feature packed Mi Qicycle can fold up to fit into the boot of a car, has been equipped with smart motion sensors to avoid accidents and is designed to track various cycling statistics that maybe necessary for a fitness buff.
The bike monitors distance covered on a single trip or the overall distance traveled on the bike. Additionally, it also tacks calories burned, speed, GPS location, battery usage and mileage.
It is powered by a Panasonic lithium 18650 mAh battery and features a 3 speed transmission. The Mi Qicycle can easily go 40-50 kilometers on a single charge.
