Lightweight all-terrain bike disassembles in just five minutes
Have a look at this detachable and light-weight bike designed by Motovezedhody. Dubbed as Taurus 2X2 this off-road demon is made for quick tours uphill or scaling mud laden tracks. The bike weighs just 132 pounds in total, and when the job is done you can disassemble and put it into the boot of your vehicle. Since the bike is specifically made of rough terrain, therefore it goes at a top speed of 22 mph (35 km/h) powered by a Honda GX210 engine.
This lightweight motorbike is made for difficult terrain which otherwise would be difficult to scale with a heavy off-roader too. If the need arises you can even carry it uphill, it’s that lightweight. Also, the makers are mindful enough to provide utility racks on the front and back to haul gear. And when you have maneuvered it around for the day (goes for 10 hours on 3 gallon fuel), simply take it apart, which takes only 5 minutes or so.
The official website says;
In just 5 minutes, you can detach the front fork with the wheel and remove the racks and the wheels and bring in the trunk of a car when needed. It obtained a patent for the invention of the front fork Quick-ATV.
The fat tires of Taurus 2×2 provide maximum surface area contact for grip on muddy surface. However the tire pressure cannot exceed 3 psi as the bike has no supporting suspensions for it. From the look at its gearbox, it looks like a two-speed motorbike.
If you have already laid your eyes on this magic machine, then let me tell you that the company has started selling it already. You can go for the manual starter or electric starter engine version.
The cost of this ATV/bike at this point is around 75,000 Russian roubles which amount to approx. $1,100 USD. But don’t jump your horses yet, as the bike is currently only for purchase in Russia. That said, the company is planning to ship it to other parts of the world soon.
