You can soon take home licensed 3D printed Star Trek spaceships
It’s difficult to kill the Star Trek fan within. Therefore, it won’t be an exaggeration to say that we all crave for artifacts related to the franchise. To satiate our yearning, San Francisco-based Eucl3d in partnership with Cryptic Studios, Perfect World, and CBS has created and allowing fans like you and me to create 3D printed Star Trek spaceships. Presently, there are almost 400 replica vessels up for grabs all of which are modeled after ships from Star Trek Online, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Cryptic Studios.
All captains can order any of their favorite spacecraft from inside of the Star trek Online and have it shipped to the doorstep. The model vessels are being built in US using full color 3D printing. In case you don’t like one of the pre-made models, you can customize your own vessel from material to color and from shields to name of the ship – you can customize everything.
Eucl3d hasn’t given out on the price and availability of the 3D printed Star Trek spaceships. But we learn each 3D printed spaceship will be fully licensed by CBS, broadcasting company that owns Star Trek rights.
