Life-sized Lego Ford Mustang made from 194,900 Lego bricks
You mention the name Ford Mustang and the hair on the back of my neck raises. The love for cars is hard to suppress, and when it is a Ford Mustang, you’ll see me writing about it. Almost three years ago we featured the scaled down Lego replication of Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, and now it’s another Lego make that caught our eye.
This is a life-sized Lego remake of the classic Ford 1964½’ Ford Mustang created by LegoLand Florida Resort in collaboration with sponsors Southern Ford Dealers. The teams joined forced in Enfield, Connecticut to bring to life this Lego creation, and they like to call it the Brick Pony.
Lego Ford Mustang is made from a mind boggling 194,900 standard Lego bricks and Duplo bricks. The replication weighs 1,712 pounds in total, out of which 960 pounds are Lego bricks and 752 pounds is its aluminum chassis.
To add a bit of fun and surprise element for people inquisitive about this Lego Ford Mustang at the Ford Driving School attraction at LegoLand Florida Resort, a virtual horn, sounds of real engine are added and other sound effects. The Lego car also has working headlights and taillights.
