Apple rolls out its thinnest, lightest, more powerful MacBook Pro
Apple has launched what it claims to be the “thinnest and lightest MacBook Pro ever”. Apple has managed to shrink the display size to .88mm. Blogosphere is more excited about the new ‘touch bar’ in place of traditional row of function keys with a multi-touch display. On the other hand, Microsoft Surface Studio – a refined all-in-one desktop PC has also been announced in New York.
Both claim they are made for creative people with higher graphic performance, better and brighter display, and better response time. But, as a matter of fact, they belong to two different categories – portable laptop and desktop. Apple has stuffed the new MacBook Pro with sixth-generation quad-core and dual-core processors, and a graphic performance that is twice of what previous generation offered.
It features 67% brighter display with 67% more contrast yet doesn’t ignore energy saving technologies. Apple claims the new MacBook Pro consumers 30% less energy owing to a variable refresh rate and power-efficient LEDs. The force touch trackpads are larger, more comfortable keyboard, and lauder speakers with dynamic range.
New Touch Bar
Apple believes the new touch bar would boost creativity as well as productivity. It will display tabs, favorites, allow easy access to emoji, easy access to simple image editor, videos etc.
With the groundbreaking new touch bar, the convenience of touch ID, the best mac display ever, powerful performance, improved audio, blazing-fast storage and thunderbolt 3 connectivity in our thinnest and lightest pro notebook yet, the new macbook pro is the most advanced notebook ever made,
Says Phil Schiller, apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing.
The power button integrates a ‘Touch ID’ like Apple’s iPhones that enable user to unlock the device with fingerprint impression and make secure online payments.
Apple claims the new MacBook Pro to be company’s biggest leap so far. Also, it has broken a 45 year old traditional pattern of function key row.
Apple is offering a basic version of 13-Inch MacBook Pro starting at $1,499. The 13-Inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar and Touch ID is being offered at $1,799 while the 15-inch version with Touch Bar starts at $2,399.
