With Android Nougat update, Moto Z and Z Force phones become Daydream ready
Android-based Moto smartphones have come a long way. The phones are a hit with mid-range phone takers and have helped revive consumer trust in Motorola. Now, the company says many of its smartphones including the Moto Z and Moto Z Force are scheduled for Android 7.0 Nougat update, which should rollout by end of November. With the update, Moto Z and Moto Z Force will become the first phones outside of Google’s own hardware to support Daydream – Google’s mobile virtual reality headset announced in October this year.
Originally, only Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones were Daydream ready. With rollout of Android 7.0 Nougat, Moto Z and Moto Z Force will becoming only smartphones after Google’s new Pixel phones to be ready for Daydream View headset. Both the phones are built with high-resolution displays, amazingly smooth graphics and highly reliable sensors that ensure precise head tracking in virtual reality.
With Daydream a user has an unprecedented access to myriad of VR experiences -users can play VR games, explore new worlds, enjoy personal cinema and do a lot more.
Released in September, both Moto Z and Moto Z Force are 5.5 inch smartphones with a Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 processor in the gut. Along with the Adreno 530 and 1440 x 2560 pixels (535 ppi) AMOLED display, the phones have 4 GB RAM and 13MP and 21MP cameras respectively.
