The 2018 Tesla Model 3 to feature 250 miles range with minimal interiors: Report
The 2018 Tesla Model 3 electric car announced by the CEO Ellen Musk in March this year is being speculated to be the best EV available currently in consumer market. Now, some reports are suggesting that Model 3 would feature upgraded lithion-ion battery pack that can extend its range upto over 250 miles in a single charge. In March, however, the announced specs had claimed the range to be somewhere around 215 miles. Also, the 17-inch portrait touch-screen is replaced by a new 15-inch landscape touch-screen, as per the reports. The car can accommodate five passengers and can attain a speed of 0-60 miles per hour in less than six seconds. The charging time is likely to be the same as that for Tesla Model X and S – between 2-4 hours.
Spread from windshield to rear of the car, the roof is transparent. The reports suggest that the car would be launched with full-autopilot hardware.
If the image to be believed, the interior is minimal in design and all the instrument clutter is missing.
It is surprising that about 40,000 people has already placed pre-orders without knowing anything about the interiors. That demonstrate faith of the consumers in the leading brand in EV Supercar manufactures.
Reports suggest that Tesla is likely to start production of Model 3 in the first quarter of the year and deliver it in the market towards the end of the 2017. The car will come in two variants – all-wheel-drive and rear-wheel-drive. The price starts from $35, 000 with a pre-order for $1,000. However, they may be some tweaks in features and price by the time it reaches consumer market.
