PowreRay underwater robot – Enjoy VR fishing experience with 4K UHD camera
Technology has taken recreational activities to a new level. Drones or robotics and AI are intruding in almost every field from playing music instruments, singing, chatting to fighting in battlefield by replacing humans. Technology offers to enhance the experience and make it easier in most cases like PowerVision Robot Corporation’s new fishfinder and underwater robot for videography and photography – PowerRay.
It claims that fishing would be easier for any amateur fisherman as he can locate fish by receiving 4K UHD video stream or high-resolution stills on his smartphone via an iOS or Android app. The underwater robot is also equipped with Sonar and can send back data through built-in wi-fi within a distance of 80 meters. It can dive upto 30 meters (98 feet) underwater and can detect fish up to 40 meters (131 feet) below its location.
That means, in total, it can cover a depth of about 70 meters (262 feet). It also features a blue light to attract fish and has a remotely operated precision remote bait drop. Evidently, it implies that skills don’t matter anymore in fishing. Anyone, who can buy technology, can catch fish.
Anyway, that was the less interesting part. User can also enjoy real-time experience of fishing through PowerVision VR Goggle. User can control the robot while viewing underwater scenes in virtual-reality that also support gesture and gravity recognition capabilities. User can control left, right, up, and down turns with head tilting.
Like its other products including intuitive consumer drone PowerEgg and premium professional cinematography drone PowerEye, the PowerRay is also equipped with best in class camera with 100-degree wide-angle lens and MP4 video at 30fps. User can also shoot still photographs at 5 fps in 12 megapixel. An integrated adjustable light provides proper light. Each one of both the robot and the fishfinder can work for 4 hours in one charge.
Recreational fishing is one of the lifestyle areas that have not seen major technology breakthroughs. By introducing PowerRay, PowerVision is completely changing the way we have been fishing in the past 7,000 years. Through innovating the fish finding technology and features, providing the thrill of finding the catch and an immersive underwater experience through virtual reality, PowerRay is going to provide more efficiency, thrill, and fun to fishermen around the world. Recreational fishing will never be the same again,
said Wally Zheng, CEO of PowerVision Technology Group.
