Adopting the new smartphone design trend adopted by major manufacturers like Samsung which now have glass back panel for many of the new generation phones, they have also decided to do so. According to a report by Ming-Chi Kuo, a KGI Securities analyst, Apple is going to have glass form factor dominated design for its iPhone in 2017. That means we are not going to see this form-factor change in the much anticipated iPhone 7.

In its recent event, China Mobile, Apple’s carrier partner, has confirmed that it would be launching iPhone 6c – a 4-inch iPhone, in April 2016 in China. iPhone 6c has been in rumors for quite some time now. The iPhone, which is believed to be a smaller screen version of the large screen iPhone 6 and 6s, is predicted to be pretty similar to the iPhone 5c featuring A9 processor and Apple Pay Support among other things. iPhone 6c is reportedly a low-end phone that will replace iPhone 5c at $449 price tag. Apple has taken a paradigm shift with its smartphone design that was exemplified in the large screened iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. They made this change after the iPhone 5s and wanted to keep up with competition which demanded a slightly bigger screen design.
