For all of us a trip to the Wright Brothers Museum and Memorial park in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina means a leisure stroll, for Jeffery Stephenson a.k.a. Slipperyskip however, it means an inspiration for his computer case mod. Inspired by the monument of the Wright brothers at the park, he has built the Flightline casemod in different types of woods. The exquisite computer case has a specially made back plate for its Gigabyte H77TN Mini-ITX motherboard and comprises of 167 handmade parts made from quilted maple and aircraft grade birch plywood with mahogany forming the base.

Imagine a cool looking CPU unit being revealed from inside a White Ball just like a pearl from inside an oyster. That is exactly what this PC case mod called White Ball is all about which was created in an amazing time of within 24 hours for the German Casemod Championship (DCMM). Paladin Patrick and Oliver Peier came up with the idea of enclosing a CPU unit inside an equally big white ball because for the competition all they had was metal balls around. These blokes used Prodigy which is deemed as the most flexible Mini-ITX case ever and the expansion vessel they managed to find in the DCMM complex.

I’d be blessed to have an Aston Martin computer case parked at my desk, sadly but I don’t have a friend like Derek who’d build me one. Custom-made by Derek Smith for his friend (I can’t express if fortune) the PC that emulates the luxury sports car is made from scrap PC parts but is good to perform as good as any other PC.
