Robotic hand with feeling of pain

We have come to a point where robots look so convincing you’ll look twice to confirm. But what about their ability to feel things like us? That is a complicated ability which requires a lot of research. Giving us all a new way to look at future robots who’ll look, behave and feel just like humans, Cornell have developed an advanced robotic hand. Headed by Robert Shepherd, assistant professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering and principal investigator of Organic Robotics Lab, the robotic hand has feelings in its limbs.

These human-like robots are so real you’re eyes will fail to distinguish

Human-like-Robots

We live in a world where distinguishing reality from illusion is becoming difficult to comprehend. Thanks to robotics and technology advancements, creating artificial humans is inching closer to the ultimate goal of perfection. The robots we were accustomed to see till now are no more just a piece of metal with flashing LEDS waiting for their master’s next command. In fact, now robots have become more human-like, both in looks and behavior. The day isn’t far away when robots are going to overtake humans which is kind of scary. Atlas robot

We are still a long way off when considering robots as full time servants or butlers for our laid back life. Many robotics companies are pursuing this ultimate goal and IHMC are not far behind. The Florida-based company has been funded by Google for the development of ATLAS robot which will be used in disaster struck areas in the future. But, what about the times when it is sitting around free? It can be a good butler and servant for your home.
