There were rumors in the air a few days back about LG’s curved smartphone much like the Samsung Galaxy Round but the only difference being that it was slated to be a vertically curved phone whereas the Round is a horizontally curved phone. Now, LG has officially announced the G Flex curved phone that is a 6-inch flexible OLED display (720p) smartphone which claims to be designed keeping in mind the viewing angles as well as the face contours other than the improved sound and voice quality by up to 3 decibels. The variation of curve thickness varies from 7.9mm to 8.7mm at various places making it ideal for holding while taking up calls, watching videos and placing on uneven surfaces.

Get ready for world’s first flexible e-paper display as LG prepares for mass production

Looking to take e-book market by the storm LG showed off the world’s first ever e-paper display measuring a mere 6 inches, boasting of miniscule .77mm thickness and having display resolution of 1024X768 with the ability to bend in any direction at angle of 40 degrees. In the drop tests conducted by LG the screen passed by a long way as it took on the assault from a rubber mallet and a drop of about five feet.
