Romain Jerome has unveiled the Spacecraft, their first ever pilot’s watch in joint venture with Manuel Emch, Eric Giroud and Jean-Marc Wiederrecht. This timepiece has a very different look to what we have seen so far from any watchmaker with a charming yet restrained design. These three names have joined forces to come up with a niche watch design which combines retro-futuristic aesthetics and horological complexity courtesy the trapeze-shaped model having black PVD-coated titanium case. Complimentary to the name, the faceted surface echo, black rotating disc having red indicator transferred on sapphire crystal shows the minutes and the linear hour display is read laterally.

The Limited Edition Romain Jerome DeLorean DNA watch will housed inside 46mm wide stainless steel case and having metal salvaged from original DeLorean DMC-12 fitted right inside the bezel of the watch. The tail lights in yellow, red and white color are very well represented on the dial of this watch which will be limited to only 81 pieces.

Swiss watchmaker Romain Jerome has a profound liking for making watches from exotic and rare material like the one which had fusion metal from the underwater wreck of Titanic. This time around to honor the Statue of Liberty and celebrate its 125th anniversary, Romain Jerome have created Liberty-DNA, a timekeeping watch that is made from the particles and actual metal pieces of Statue of Liberty. It is a result of their collaboration with The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation and Gold Leaf Corporation that such a rare limited edition watch could be presented to the world.

Romain Jerome’s two limited edition timepieces pay homage to Titanic’s 100th anniversary

15th April 2012 is going to mark the 100th anniversary of the ill-fated disaster of RMS Titanic that never made it to shore and sank bang in the middle of Atlantic Ocean. As homage to this star-crossed event that left behind irreversible emotional memories, Swiss watchmaker Romain Jerome is going to offer two limited edition timepieces to make a special connection with the events aboard that legendary vessel in 1912. The two new timepieces called Steampunk Auto 100th Anniversary and Steampunk Chrono 100th Anniversary are going to come in limited edition 100 pieces.
