British designer Ross Kemp, a design student at Loughborough has come up with a solar powered one-man watercraft called ASAP that can be an integral part of any water sports enthusiast’s collection. Combining all the aesthetics of skis, surfboard and catamaran this sun powered watercraft runs on one third the cost incurred by a traditional water skier. The sole reason for its coming into existence is the inspiration to help lifeguards on rescue missions, where time is of the essence and your watercraft needs to be equipped with all the goodies to help someone in need. ASAP lifeguard watercraft has a sloping center frame so that a person can be easily brought on board and a lighting system is also going to make rescue mission much easier as it will glow in the dark. The V-shaped hull of the craft also makes sure that it cuts through the water much more efficiently and safely tows any causality to the shore.

Jet-powered bodyboard will provide hastened rescue operations and water sports fun

When it comes to rescuing people on the beaches time is of the essence and if bodyguards are equipped with a fast means of riding the waves on their own then it would make a huge difference. A California designer Jason Woods has created the Kymera Rescue Board that has an electric motor powered by lithium ion battery pack that is capable of carrying around its rider on the waves for around an hour’s time. Providing such type of mobility in a bodyboard gives much more flexibility in rescue missions and also reduces the overall cost as it can be a worthy replacement for bulky boats and jet skis. Although Jason is reluctant to give any details of the drive system used in this jet-powered bodyguard, he revealed that initially it was powered by ordinary fuel.
